Trojan Video Club

The Trojan Video Club provides students with the basics of audio/visual production and evolves into more technically challenging projects. Students gain skills in advanced editing, visual effects, audio and color correction. Working in crews, students will write scripts, and develop their own directing, filming and editing skills. Students who are interested in a career in entertainment production have opportunities to explore the many jobs involved in the making of such productions. This includes film and broadcast journalism. The technology that will be used can be used not only for videos, but can also apply for Podcasts and music editing.

We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:30 PM

Trojan DJ Club

The Trojan DJ Club focuses on the world of music mixing and sound exploration. This club is designed for middle school students and is the perfect place to unleash creativity, learn the art of DJing, and connect with fellow music lovers/artists. In our weekly sessions, students will get hands-on experience with professional DJ equipment, explore different genres, and discover techniques to create their own unique mixes. Not only will they develop DJing skills, students will also have the chance to collaborate with peers on exciting projects, participate in fun challenges, and even showcase your mixes at school events.

We meet Mondays from 3-5pm

On Tuesdays and Thursdays students create different recipes in class that they are able to take home to enjoy with their family. On Tuesdays, students join 2 cooking classes and prepare baked goods, simple dinners and enjoy the process of creating food from scratch.

On Thursdays, there is a core group of students experiencing the flavors of Italy. These students learn how to create traditional Italian cuisine. At the end of the semester, they will have gained the knowledge to create a traditional Italian meal from appetizers to main dishes and dessert.

These student chefs are amazing and their creations are even better.

Welcome to the Book Nook Club! What is a Book Nook you might ask? A Book Nook is a DIY miniature diorama that fits between books on a shelf, creating a charming and detailed scene. These kits combine elements of crafting, storytelling, and engineering, making them an excellent tool for students to develop various STEM skills.

When completing a Book Nook Kit, students will engage in:

1. Engineering and Design: Assembling the intricate pieces requires understanding spatial relationships and structural integrity.
2. Problem-Solving: Students will need to follow detailed instructions and troubleshoot any assembly issues that arise.
3. Fine Motor Skills: The precise nature of the assembly process helps improve hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
4. Electrical Engineering: Many kits include LED lights, teaching basic circuitry and electrical concepts.

These kits provide a hands-on, engaging way for students to apply and enhance their STEM skills while creating a beautiful and functional piece of art.
