W.E.B (Where Everybody Belongs)

W.E.B (Where everybody belongs) is a program at the middle school level that promotes a positive school climate and culture among the 6th grade population. This elective is offered to only 8th graders who demonstrate the potential for great leadership ability.  They themselves need to be positive role models and willing to work on their self-growth as well as keeping up their grades. These students train in the summer working together with their incoming 6th graders on team building activities and practice teaching activities alongside teachers as their mentors. This then is carried on throughout the academic year as W.E.B students continue working with 6th grade teachers to best support the 6th grade population.

The W.E.B students teach a character-building lesson once a month to their 6th graders. The W.E.B leaders also host 6th Grade events like Lunch time activities, the 6th Grade Olympics and 6th grade orientation. It is very important that the W.E.B students as a whole work well together, hold each other accountable and are encouraging amongst each other. The elective challenges our 8th graders and really inspires them to be confident, outgoing, and improve their public speaking skills.  This also gives their peers guidance and direction during an otherwise hard transition into middle school.

In High school the 9th grades will participate in W.E.B's sister program "Link Crew," where 11th/12th graders mentor 9th graders.

Both W.E.B and Link Crew are similar to a big brother/big sister program.
